Junbang Liang

I am a master’s student at Columbia University, advised by Carl Vondrick. Previously I completed my BE(Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering at The University of Auckland, where I worked on robotics at the New Dexterity research group advised by Minas Liarokapis.
My research focuses on developing scalable robot learning methods to equip robots with human-like dexterity and capability. By bridging the gap between vision-language models and real-world robots, I aim to create intelligent systems that can seamlessly interact with and adapt to complex, real-world environments.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends building creative gadgets and systems such as LightSense.
